How often do you use social media in a day? There is no count to it. You might be running a social media platform for your business like you use social media for your personal use. After reading this blog, you will know that it is a completely different ball game.

It becomes more challenging when you use it for the first time when your only experience is personal use. But how will you know what to avoid in the mystery that is media marketing for businesses?

This blog will teach you how to maximise the potential of your brand’s social media channels and devote time to building them, so it’s something to consider in the future.

1. Don’t Create the Same Type of Content.

Too many businesses don’t follow this pattern and ultimately fail. Because they repeatedly recycle the same form of content and find themselves losing followers and engagement. It is understandable, though; some businesses don’t need to think about the content marketing strategy to diversity the stuff they post. Sometimes it becomes beneficial to hire a dedicated social media marketing agency to work the best out of your competitors.

2. Becoming Inactive

What works the best is to keep posting on social media or letting your customers know that you are active through your posts and using the features such as stories, reels, IGT, etc. And if your customers notice that you have not posted for days or months, then there is a risk of losing your followers and reducing the trust you have built through your social media presence.

Along with that, it also reduces the chances of exposure to new customers and followers. Don’t think that your social media requires hours every day, but the truth is it doesn’t need it but what it requires is the right time to interact and show you are active. The best way you can do that is by updating your profiles regularly.

3. Writing and Emulating the Same Post on Every Platform

It is one of the biggest that any business does. Using the same kind of content, emojis, hashtags, and tone of voice that they post across several social media channels will never work. If you post a Tweet with text and hashtags over on LinkedIn, it won’t go down as well as it will on Twitter.

Professional users mostly use LinkedIn. You might be posting a list of emojis and hashtags in your Facebook post, but it’s best to cut this down when posting something on LinkedIn. Moreover, you need to check the tone while posting on these social media channels because what is casual on Twitter should be more official on the other channel.

4. Not Scheduling Content

If you do not have your social media posts scheduled, it is a BIG mistake. You should always ensure that you plan content that goes out on specific dates for months ahead. And if you are already doing it, you don’t need to worry about what to post when you realise you have fallen behind on posting. Scheduling content helps and saves time, ensuring that you don’t need to think about what to post ahead.

5. Following/Interacting With Profiles

You’ll have greater followers, but is there any worth in that pool of followers when it comes to your business? Also, liking and commenting on many odd posts can be beneficial; you’ll get noticed, but make sure you’re doing it on the correct profiles for the right type of visibility.

When interacting/following, you should always look under the relevant hashtags or searches related to your business industry or target audience. Because these people aren’t necessarily engaged in the content you provide, getting a massive following of random people may result in fewer interactions from the proper accounts.

Facebook and Instagram took down my boosted posts. Those posts were the only way I was getting any income. I started to freak out. I met with Jess, and she showed me a whole new world of Facebook advertising. She helped me get my posts back up and within 48 hours my entire weekend was booked. I’m forever grateful for her and her knowledge. I’ve even bought her books to gift to my entrepreneur friends. I highly recommend Pendragon for your marketing needs!

I have hired Pendragon Consulting, LLC to help me revamp my business because of COVID-19. The Pendragon Team sat down with me and notified me that my website was not displaying on Google for ranking. They also explained the difference between advertising with Google and Facebook. My profit margin has increased during these uncertain times. I would highly recommend Pendragon Consulting, LLC for your business.

We have been working with Jessica for the past 9 months and she has taken the guessing game out of how to manage and grow our social presence. She was very quick to understand our products and services and now she manages and writes all of our social media content. Jessica is also amazing to work with, extremely responsive, willing to share best practices and her insights.
